Save the date(s) – Bullseye mono-trainings for first responders

To ensure a harmonization of the procedures in response to chemical and biological threats, experts and practitioners will be brought together during five monodisciplinary trainings, as well as a cross-sectoral exercise in 2022. These five monodisciplinary trainings will test out the harmonised procedures for the first-, second-, and third-line responders that have been established during the previous four workshops of WP3.

After careful evaluation of the monodisciplinary trainings and possible adaption of the harmonised procedures, a cross-sectoral exercise will be organised to ultimately bring together all disciplines to test out the procedures collectively.

Bullseye Multi-Agency Workshop (Antwerp, 8-11 March 2022)

From 8 to 11 March 2022 a group of 26 international CBRN-specialists and practitioners gathered in Antwerp (Belgium) for the Bullseye Multi-Agency Workshop. Non-specialist police, emergency medical services, fire fighters and civil protection, specialist police, and military/defence from Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, the Slovak Republic and Spain were present, as well as experts from DVI/forensics and laboratories.

Building further upon the procedures for the first-, second-, and third-line responders that have been established during the previous three workshops in Warsaw, Bratislava and Madrid, the CBRN-specialists and practitioners worked on harmonising these procedures and develop a coherent response to a chemical or biological attack.

Furthermore, the experts provided valuable insights from their real-life experiences with terrorism and CBRN.

Thanks to the active and professional interaction between the participants, moderators, experts and Bullseye partners, we are confident to deliver soon the results of the workshop.

We look forward continuing the process by testing the procedures during monodisciplinary trainings and a multidisciplinary exercise.

Bullseye Workshop for Third Line Responders (Madrid, 15-17 December 2021)

From 15 to 17 December 2021 the Bullseye consortium organised a fruitful workshop in Madrid (Spain) for a group of third line responders (CBRN-specialists from police, defence/military, DVI, forensics and laboratories).

The participants built further upon the procedures that were realised by the second line responders in Bratislava in October 2021. The procedures for the third line responders are intended for use after the first 3 hours from the start of the incident.

Thanks to the active and professional interaction between the participants, moderators, experts and Bullseye partners, we are confident to deliver soon the results of this workshop.

We look forward continuing the process of elaborating procedures in a multi-agency workshop in Belgium in the first quarter of 2022.

Bullseye Workshop for Second Line Responders (Bratislava, 27-29 October 2021)

From 27 to 29 October 2021 the Bullseye consortium organised a fruitful workshop in Bratislava (Slovakia) for a group of second line responders (CBRN-specialists from fire services, police, defence/military and special forces of police).

The participants built further upon the procedures that were realised by the first line responders in Warsaw in February 2020. The procedures for the second line responders are intended for use after the first 20 minutes up until about 3 hours after the start of the incident.

Thanks to the active and professional interaction between the participants, moderators, experts and Bullseye partners, we are confident to deliver soon the results of the workshop.

We look forward continuing the process of elaborating procedures for the third line responders (DVI, forensics and laboratories) in Madrid from 15 to 17 December 2021.
